Carlo Scotti began to produce pipes on an artisan basis in Cantù immediately after the war. Right from the start his main aim was to create top-quality pipes. Thus his highly professional expertise has gradually become international in its scope, as a result of detailed studies he has conducted of the quality, good points and defects of all the big makes on the market. In addition to other things, he invented the methacrylate mouth-piece, which is lighter, more resistant and looks nicer.

Our philosophy

This may be summed up in a few words: " Offer expert smokers better and better pipes". Seeking however to keep our standards of quality high, a must as far as Castello products are concerned, it has become impossible to meet world demand. But in life, rarely is it possible to obtain the best things hurriedly and easily. And sometimes it is worth knowing when to wait. These then are Carlo Scotti's ideas, taken up and carried forward by his daughter Savina and his son-in-law Franco Coppo, who have been actively involved in his work for years and who represent its natural projection into the future.
